Returns Policy

If you are a consumer, you have a statutory right to cancel your order at any time up to 14 whole days after receipt of the goods and receive a full refund. Tick Tock Clocks extend this to 30 days, for consumers only, provided you return the goods to us in new resaleable condition within that 30 day period. We reserve the right to reject a cancellation request if we reasonably think that you bought the product in question for business purposes, but we will attempt to contact you (using the contact details you have provided) to discuss this before taking such steps.

To cancel an order within the above period: notify us by email, post or fax at the above address and request an RMA number; where the goods have been despatched or delivered, make arrangements to return them to us in their original packaging and at your cost. Before returning goods, you must obtain an RMA number. Processing goods returned without an RMA number may be delayed or even rejected. Postage or Carriage due returns will be refused.

If your product is a service, digital content or goods that haven't been delivered, we refund you as soon as possible and within 14 days of you telling us you've changed your mind. If your product is goods that you're sending back to us, we refund you within 14 days of receiving them back from you (or receiving evidence you've sent them to us). We refund you by the method you used for payment. We don't charge a fee for the refund.

For cancellations made as set out above, we will refund the cost of the goods but not (unless you are a consumer and bought online or “at a distance” including by telephone) the cost of the original shipping of the goods to you. Where you are a consumer and bought goods online or “at a distance” (including by telephone), we will also refund the standard delivery cost to you (but not any additional cost you paid for an enhanced or next day delivery service, provided the delivery was on time).

Goods and their packaging that are the subject of a cancelled order must be returned at your expense in new resaleable condition. As you would expect, all of our products offered for sale are new and unused; consequently, if you damage, handle or use the product in a way which makes it not acceptable for resale, we may refuse a refund or reduce your refund, to compensate us for its reduced value.

Once you have opened a software package or are in receipt of a license key that has been generated for you, the product is not returnable.

Additional services such as next working day delivery services that have been completed are not refundable.

Further terms relating to returns are set out in our Terms and Conditions, so please read them carefully before purchasing.

Without limiting your legal rights, all products are supplied to consumers with a one year warranty from us against fault. In some cases, an additional guarantee is provided by the manufacturer; where applicable. we will endeavour to facilitate this for you. Proof of purchase will be required. In the event of an apparent fault within the warranty period, please contact us at the address above. If we are unable to resolve the fault, we may ask you to return the goods or relevant part thereof to us in order that we can find any fault. Occasionally we may ask you to return the product directly to our suppliers in order to expedite the resolution. If a fault is found, we will repair, replace or refund as appropriate (see our Terms and Conditions). Where a fault is found, the cost of simple return postage will be refunded. Any refunds will be made within 30 days.

Before returning goods, you will need to obtain an RMA number from us.  Please contact us email, post or fax at the above address to obtain an RMA number. Processing goods returned without an RMA number may be delayed or even rejected. WEEE - Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment

Please do not throw electrical equipment including those items marked with the crossed out wheeled bin symbol in the bin as they should be disposed of separately from normal household waste so that they can be recycled.

The WEEE regulations cover all electronic devices purchased from us and any batteries included with them. They vary depending upon whether you are purchasing from us for "household" or "business" use. For full information regarding these regulations we suggest you visit the Environment Agency web site.

In the UK, the amount of waste electrical and electronic products we throw away is increasing by around 5% each year making it the fastest growing waste stream in the UK. Recycling reduces the environmental impact along with any associated health risks in sending such products to landfill. At Tick Tock Clocks we would encourage you to recycle your old electronic instruments when you purchase from us.

The regulations require us to offer you the opportunity to return your old product to us for disposal when you purchase a replacement and we are happy to facilitate that. If you are a "householder" and have bought a product from us to replace another with the same or similar functionality then you are able to return the old one to us and we will ensure that it is correctly disposed of.

However, you might consider that the expense of sending (not simply the postage cost but also the carbon mileage cost) the old product or bringing it in person to us outweighs the recycling value. Indeed, a better way might be to collect several items of mixed waste to make a visit to your local household waste recycling site worthwhile. They too will ensure that WEEE products are correctly recycled.

This applies to old product that has the WEEE symbol - a crossed out wheelie bin. Before you return any goods, you should contact us for a return number and to confirm that the product you are returning is eligible. The goods for recycling must be returned within 28 days.

All of this includes disposing of used batteries. However, as well as your local household recycling centres many retailers have recycling points for your old batteries whether or not you purchase new ones from them.

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations 2006 (WEEE) is intended to prevent electrical and electronic waste from being introduced into landfill sites and defines various categories for differentiating electrical and electronic equipment. WEEE applies only to products carrying the WEEE symbol and supplied after the 13th August 2005.

The Company will accept the return of products previously supplied by Tempcon Instrumentation Ltd, labelled Supplied by Tempcon and carrying the WEEE symbol, for correct disposal within the terms of the WEEE regulations.

Temperature Probes and panel mounted products such as Process Controllers are not subject directly to the WEEE regulations as they are intended for installation into other products and are part of another type of equipment, or fixed installation.

Standalone or portable products are subject to WEEE regulations. Tempcon Instrumentation Ltd recognises the need to dispose of these items correctly and will accept the return of these items provided that they meet the conditions set out in this document.

Carriage & packing costs for the return of WEEE products to Tempcon Instrumentation Ltd is the responsibility of the Customer.

A WEEE Authorisation Return Number should be obtained from Tempcon before returning goods. On returning goods to Tempcon Instrumentation Ltd against a WEEE Authorisation Return Number the customer relinquishes all ownership rights. Tempcon bears no responsibility for loss, or replacement, of items returned against a WEEE Authorisation Return Number.

The 2002/95/EC Restriction of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment (RoHS) directive calls for eliminating the use of lead, mercury, hexavalent chromium, polybrominate biphenyls, and polybrominated diphenyl ethers in electrical and electronic equipment. Products manufactured by Tempcon Instrumentation Ltd comply fully with the conditions of this directive and Tempcon requires the same assurances from suppliers in all instances.
