Saxon Wind-Up Twin Bell Alarm Clock 16cm

This clock is certainly loud so it does what it's supposed to. My criticism is that it is very, very light so grabbling for it from a deep sleep to turn off the alarm usually results in it being tipped over or falling on the floor. A bit more weight would have been useful. It was initially quite stiff to wind and I have had to tinker with the +/- lever on the back for it to keep good time. Reading another review, I'm not alone on this. I wanted an eco solution to buying batteries, so went with this. Is this the best purchase I could have made? Time will tell!

This was a nice looking, sturdy clock with a loud alarm. Mine always ran slightly slow even with daily winding so had to adjust speed. After about a year of use, it began to run even slower so I kept moving the adjust mechanism to its furthest point to speed it up but this had no effect and the clock loses a significant amount of time daily so it is not really reliable as an alarm clock anymore. Sadly will have to look for a replacement.

Quite impressed with the ease of setting the alarm and the loud sound it makes. Have one that is over 40 years old and is still working. Got this one because the old one's bell is not that loud anymore. It appears to be well made.
