The ACCUR8 YD8230A-4UK-BL is a colour wireless weather forecast station and barometer, also featuring radio-controlled clock, sunrise & sunset times, and moon phase. Plus indoor and outdoor temperature & humidity (via the included remote sensor). The time is automatically kept accurate as it receives the MSF UK radio-controlled time signal.

I didn't have to do anything, it came out of the box already set up, the only niggle I have is that the sun icon sometimes doesn't show when it's sunny and shows in the evening when it's dark, took this photo a few weeks ago, apart from that everything is good
This device was purchased to replace an extinct Omicron weather station which had failed after 15 years of good service. The Accur8 has a lot more features and has a clear, colour display. It's easy to set up and the external sensor has a strong signal from 20 metres away. Internal and external temperature readings appear to be very accurate as does the barometric pressure readings, the latter displayed as a digital reading and a 12 hour trend graph. Addional features such a moon phase and low-mid-high tide indicator are useful. Unlike my old device, the Accur8 is mains powered via a supplied plug transformer with AA battery back up, so needs to be located near a power supply. The bright display can easily be turned off if necessary. The remote sensor is battery powered and there is a battery strength indicator for the external sensor included in the main display. The device includes an alarm clock with snooze function which seems a bit unecessary and the instructions are adequate, though not as comprehensive as they might be. An additional feature is a weather forcaster (based on barometric pressure)which is a bit hit and miss and claims to be "70 - 75% accurate" which seems about right. It's a well made, easy to use device and represents very good value for money.
Works well. Nice and compact sitting on my bbok shelf. Slight hiccup setting up: "Mode" button in the instructions doesn't exist - it should say "Set" button.
The display is bright and clear and shows a wealth of details that are interesting to see. Sunrise and sunset times, radio controlled time display, barometric pressure with recent levels shown, indoor temperature and humidity and outdoor temperature and humidity and the phase of the moon. The data is all laid out in a way that makes it easy to read and enjoyable to look at.

This is a good unit, the one reservation concerns having to use the button on top to see the data, which would benefit from a longer duration - as received the display disappears too quickly.

Prospective purchases should be aware, as it is not mentioned in the product description, -œMax/Min recording of temperature and humidity (indoor & outdoor)- are only for that day and up to the time when reading, as the max/min values reset every midnight. Therefore it is not possible to read max/min values for a longer period eg a few days or a week. Also you will miss the true max or min for the day, if it occurs between reading and midnight.

All good but the indoor temperature does not match our thermometer or heating thermostat. It always shows warmer than the above .

I found it a bit confusing at first but after a while I got my head around it, at first I thought the weather picture was showing rain/snow all the time but I was wrong! The weather at the time is illuminated brightly while the rest is dull, so yes, it is very good and accurate, so yes I would have no hesitation in recommending it to friends

No set up required, works straight from the box.
Clear figures but would prefer if clock and outside temp colours were reversed (clock is more dominant) as I look at the temp more than the clock.
Although happy with device, feel temps read a bit higher than old device.

Just to clarify regarding the sun icon: your station is a forecast weather station, which means the icons are based on the predicted weather conditions for the next 12-“24 hours rather than the exact weather at that moment. Because of this, the sun symbol may sometimes appear later in the evening or disappear during the day if the station is forecasting different conditions ahead.

Whilst the Accura8 weather station is OK'ish, there are some problems. The screen is very shiny and unless viewed directly it is difficult to see without either changing your position or titling the screen with something forward or backwards. Partly, but not entirely as a result of this, the indoor (green) and outdoor (blue) temperature & humidity are especially difficult to read, brighter colours would help.
