Dementia Alarm Clock

Alarm Clocks To Help With Dementia
As you will know Dementia is a condition that affects the brain's ability to remember things, communicate, and carry out daily tasks. As the condition progresses, it can become increasingly difficult for people with dementia to remember important tasks such as taking medication, attending appointments, and completing daily activities.
Having a clock with multiple alarms can be incredibly useful for reminding people with dementia to take their medication and complete other important tasks. In addition to medication reminders, alarms can be set to remind the person to eat meals, drink water, and engage in physical activity.
According to Alzheimer's Society, there are several other memory aids and tools that can be helpful for people with dementia. These include pillboxes, calendars, and whiteboards.
Having a clock with multiple alarms can be an effective way to help people with dementia remember important tasks and stay on track with their daily routines. By combining this with other memory aids and tools, caregivers can help their loved ones with dementia maintain their independence and quality of life for as long as possible.

How could a multiple alarm clock help you?
What benefits could a clock specifically designed for dementia help in a day-to-day routine. Here is an example of how it could improve more than just being a simple reminder.
The Background
Meet Eva, a sprightly 75-year-old living with early-stage dementia. Even in the face of this diagnosis, Eva wished to maintain her individuality and autonomy for as long as possible. But she was in need of an assistive device that could help her manage her daily routines and tasks.
The Solution
Eva's daughter, Lisa, introduced the Dementia Alarm Clock. Lisa was hopeful that her mother could retain her independence with a tool that would assist her without causing intrusion or annoyance.
The Outcome
The dementia alarm clock turned out to be an instrumental tool for Eva. It helped her keep track of her daily activities, reminders for medication and highlighted anticipated events/appointments. Eva quickly grew accustomed to the helpful alert alarms at fixed intervals. These alarms significantly reduced her stress and contributed to better adherence to medical instructions and maintaining hydration and nutrition.
Lisa noticed that the clock not only helped her mother maintain her independence but also created a peaceful environment, relieving some of the pressures of caregiving.
The Verdict
This example illustrates the transformative power of tools like our Dementia Alarm Clock. Although every individual’s journey with dementia is unique, assistive devices could go a long way towards preserving independence and quality of life.
We hope this clock will endeavour to bring an element of normalcy and independence back to the lives of individuals living with dementia.
